Being Home--It's wonderful, it's wonderful, it's wonderful

Justin and I came home to my house this weekend. It's like a zoo here. We have a 5 month old yellow lab that's all arms and legs (paws and legs) who runs around everywhere all wound up like a top. She's supposed to be confined to the kitchen area, but since she's been potty trained she's been given a bit more freedom to terrorize us in other parts of the house. Her name is Squid. We also have a contrary house cat who likes to think she rules the roost by walking all over you when you sit down and making sure she's in the same room as you. Add this to my quarky mom and dad and you have a close to circus happening in the house. All this with organic, home made "treats" that produce the ick face from everyone who tries them. It's fun being home!

No really, it is fun. I like it a lot. I miss my family. I'm glad we live close and not somewhere in the boondocks. Like KENTUCKY (that's for you Angela. :)). Or Washington. Or anywhere that's not the midwest. :) Or anywhere that's not North Dakota. :)

Hey, thanks. But my family is only 3 1/2 hours away. And Michael's is about 3... so we're okay. We made a spontaneous trip to Lexington yesterday. I really wanted Chipotle. It's only an hour and a half drive...

wow. an hour and a half for Chipotle....that's impressive. Although I'd do it for Olive Garden or Hu Hot. :)
