So far, this has been a good weekend. We went to Minnesota to visit Justin's mom and we stayed at her friends' house that she was housesitting. It is an unbelievable house on a little lake in the woods. This house is like a resort spa type cabin house. Everything is wood and decorated with woodsy, hunting, fishing, nature decor. There's also this HUGE stone fireplace. It's amazing. So that's been fun. We've just relaxed all weekend.
Today I read a chapter and a half for my research class. It was about the fine points of writing a literature review. Slow reading, let me tell you. But hopefully I'll learn something useful from this class. I'll cross my fingers. The professor's funny though, so that will be nice. Well, when I say funny, I mean that I get his humor, which in turn means that it's usually two other students, myself, and the professor himself who are laughing at his lame jokes. But I enjoy it.
Tomorrow the kids don't have school but the teachers have workshops the whole day. Not sure how that's quite fair, but that's life.
Wanna know what my new love is? Gilmore Girls. I've always liked that TV show, but for my birthday I got season one on DVD and over Christmas started watching it. I am over half way through and I just LOVE it. It's a little cheesy with some moments that people like Mr. C would just roll their eyes in disbelief that people can watch the show. But in spite of the disfunctional family that the show focuses on, I find myself in a happy place whever I watch it. The witty banter and the great word play that the Gilmores employ is fun. And for the most part, it's a pretty clean show. There's not many of those around any more, so this is another reason why I like it. I just thought I'd let you know.
That's all I have to say. Have a great week.

Hey I resent being the one person you mention as a snobby TV viewer.
lol. sorry. You're the only one I know. Justin's not as much snobby as he is cynical and sarcastic, but that doesnt' really fit the bill.
