I should have been a computer science major. I've never had any interest in computer science until today. I came home for the weekend and since then it's been nothing but computer troubles. First mom's wireless router for her laptop stopped working. An hour last night and three hours today troublshooting with tech support finally led us to the conclusion that the router is defective and must be sent back to the company. Really? Three hours to tell me that? Whatever.
Then, mom's antivirus is up today. Of course today is the last day to renew so the pressure was on. An hour or two on tech service with the antivirus people finally led to hours of downloading and installing and uninstalling and dealing and calling and connecting and finally protecting on mom's computer. I got antivirus protection on my computer also through the whole process. but really. From 9:30 this morning until 5:00 tonight. Spent troubleshooting the computer. What makes it most frustrating is that neither I nor my mom knows much about how this all works, so at various points throughout the day we were both reduced to tears. Not a fun day. I'm so glad it's over.
On a side note, I'm getting really excited about going to Denver with Nathan and Kristen for Jill's wedding. It's going to be a really fun trip. We like them so much and we're both ready for a trip away from here. It's not till July, but all the planning and reserving and calling gives a fun distraction from the stress of work and school.
Speaking of school, this summer is going to be filled with 4 classes. One class for four days, two classes for six weeks, and another class for 2 weeks. Plus I should really find a job for some supplemental income. Good luck with that huh? I always wondered if I'd be the kind of teacher that worked all her summers on school stuff or on other jobs like telemarketing or waitressing or something like that. Not that I would mind either kind of summer. I think I'd get bored if I didn't work. I like working. Plus I like the money. And who can't go for a little extra cash in the summer?
Alright well I think I'm done typing for now. Sorry for the randomness.
I'm done now.
